All Ulster Bank customers affected by system error have now been paid

A number of customers didn’t receive their wages this morning.

Updated at 10.50pm

ULSTER BANK HAS said all customers who were affected by a delay in the bank making payments have now been paid.

The bank received a number of complaints this morning from customers that they hadn’t received their wages as per normal.

A spokesperson told TheJournal.ie: “Ulster Bank can confirm that payments delayed to our customers this morning have been paid. We apologise for this delay and if any customer has any queries, we encourage them to get in touch with us.”

Earlier, a number of people took to Twitter to state that their wages hadn’t gone through.

“My wages haven’t gone into my account. Usually There by now? Other people with other banks gotten theirs. What’s up?,” Martin Murphy tweeted.

Customers had also expressed worries about direct debit payments being removed from their accounts without the money being there to pay for them.

There have also been reports of a problem with State pension payments going into accounts. Ulster Bank said it is also investigating this issue.
